BETTER TOGETHER
Bliss is focused on our purpose and our mission to help Women in Business take care of ourselves and find the balance between Health, Wealth, and Happiness for successful ventures and Blissful Living!
We are a growing community where we talk about and support each other in the areas of money, mindset, and self-care as a woman business owner (both traditional and online).
How We Got Started
WARNING: Some of this may hit a little too close to home for some of you.
From the founder of Bliss...
I’ve heard from too many women over the years who feel like with the craziness of the world, they’ve lost a part of themselves. They feel depressed. Exhausted. Detached. They’re scared of what is still to come and how much more they can handle.
As a multi-business owner (and Mom, wife, daughter, friend, Meme, etc... etc...) who has struggled for years to manage everything on my plate, feeling like I would just get one thing going smooth, and something else would flip upside down on me, I know about these feelings all too well.
I’d start to feel like one of our businesses was getting to where it was “good,” and something would fly to pieces in one of the other businesses.
My stress level has been through the roof far too many times to be a healthy range and my work schedule has left me far too often feeling like I was failing my husband and kids, not being the wife and mother they deserved. … They were getting whatever was left of me at the end of my day… And that wasn’t much a lot of days.
At times, I literally felt like I was getting physically beat. I came home at night feeling like I’d just gotten out of a boxing ring and I had to force myself to get out of bed in the morning to go get the emotional crap beat out of me all over again.
This is the reality of entrepreneurship at times.
I know I am not alone when I say 2020 onward became even harder, trying to figure out how to maneuvre through the “new normal” in business and in life.
It was then, I really started falling down. A couple of people close to me saw it happening to me, and when they started telling me what they were seeing, I remembered where I ended up a few years before…
It’s called “burnout,” and it’s not pretty…
Burnout is knowing some people would kill for my life and my family but feeling so worn down from everything else and feeling like I was always “putting out fires,” and wondering how long I could keep it up, I started thinking, “If that car crossed the yellow line and hit me head-on, I wouldn’t have to feel this way anymore.”
I’ve never been “suicidal” but burnout took me to a place of “indifference” and that’s the worst feeling I’ve ever experienced.
I knew I was headed “back there,” so I found a Choice Theory counsellor and I started weekly sessions. When she would say certain things, I started remembering everything I had learned from Bliss (what we called our personal development company disguised as a network marketing company).
I started talking to her about everything Bliss was for me and everyone involved… And how I had to walk away from it [a few years prior] to rescue one of our other businesses, just as Bliss was starting to grow like crazy. [Hence: A large part of the burnout.]
She noticed I “changed” when I mentioned Bliss.
I “lit up,” she said. So we started talking more about it…
And I started getting back to it… I started throwing myself back into personal development. I started taking charge. Owning my shit. I started feeling better. I started feeling like myself again.
... And I started our group for Women Entrepreneurs Designing Balance of Life and Business on Facebook.
I started the group because I know I’m not the only woman who has been where I’ve been.
I’m not the only woman entrepreneur who has felt like just when I was getting everything I had ever dreamed of, I got slammed to the ground. And kicked. And beat.
I’m not the only woman in business who felt like I was screaming inside and no one could hear me.
Like I was losing myself and no one understood.
I started the group because I knew I wasn’t the only woman entrepreneur who needed it.
Bliss isn’t about pretending everything is perfect. It never is. Bliss isn’t about hiding behind a fake smile and bullshit lines about being positive and everything being bubbles and rainbows.
Bliss is about the days I sang to myself, “just keep swimming,” when I was barely even treading.
Bliss is about what being a woman in business (one of those who can’t use her head and not her heart) has taught me.
It’s about sharing what it’s taught me with other women (business owners or not) so you might not have to learn all of the same lessons about stretching yourself too thin and burnout the hard way (like I did).
Or if you’re already learning some lessons the hard way or if you don’t really care if that car crosses the yellow line, Bliss is about you knowing you’re not alone and that it can and will get better. Even if the situation doesn’t change, you can change how you handle it.
Bliss is about a community of women supporting each other through the lows, learning from one another together, and cheering each other on through the wins.
Enter: The 7 Simple Daily Habits Challenge and our Blissful Business Community.
The reason I started the challenge and the community is because I know how much better I feel when I take care of myself. I know how much difference these small daily rituals make for me and how much difference they can make for so many women.
I know they rescued me from the burnout.
… Most important, I’ve seen that, “Omg, it’s not just me,” look on the faces of too many women when I share that “crossing the yellow line” story, followed by tears because they can’t believe I actually said out loud what had run through their head so many times.
We cannot control everything about the world around us, and we can’t go back, but there are simple things we can do every day to feel better and you will learn about them here.

I learned so much from my experience with Bliss. I met amazing people, I learned that we are in charge of our own path and just sitting there wishing and hoping for things without doing anything about it or taking chances gets you nowhere. Once I realized that, things started happening. I got my jeep and my trip to B.C that were on my vision board that I made after one of the trainings. To be honest, at the time, I was totally uncertain that any of that would ever happen. LOL. I learned that mindset is everything. If you manifest positivity, your life will be more positive. I surround myself with people who lift me up and don't give any time to those who drag me down. I could go one and on!
When they say everything happens for a reason, they are not lying. The Bliss 7 Simple Daily Habits challenge took place during a very difficult time for my household. We were faced with family emergencies that we did not see coming and typically a situation like this would have put me in a dark place. Having such a great group of women who are all like-minded in the sense that they wanted to better themselves helped so much during this time. Some of the challenges we participated in were the only thing that got me through a few of those days. The 7 Simple Daily Habits helped me get back into a happier and heathier, more productive routine. I learned more about myself in just one week than I could have ever imagined. I wish every woman could participate in this challenge.
